News have just broken that PFW in September will actually happen! The fashion industry has been on the fence lately due to the Covid-19 pandemic and many speculated about the much-anticipated Fashion Week in September…

The event will take place from September 28 to October 8, in a sanitary crisis context. That means there will be measures to ensure minimum risks.
However, the least that can be said is that it’s surprising for the Fédération de Haute Couture to opt for the traditional event. This is happening while the Spring edition was be fully digital – way more in line with the current context. Several designers have chosen to leave the Fashion Week calendar and offer an online version of their shows.

In early July, London, Paris and Milan Men’s shows will be broadcasted on a dedicated online platform. The events are therefore open to everyone.
This poses a question: are we witnessing the end of the VIP era in fashion shows? The organisers may find a way to bypass that and provide exclusive content to “select” audiences.
